DigiCart/II Troubleshooting Guide
    The table below addresses various DigiCart/II trouble scenarios and suggests possible solutions. DigiCart/II repairs should be attempted only by qualified technical and/or engineering personnel familiar with working on complex electronics equipment.

DISK ACCESS
(1)Disk not formatted. (1) FORMAT disk according to manualspecifications.
(2) Defective disk. (2) R/R disk.
(3) Drive ribbon cable is loose or defective. (3) Inspect ribbon cable and replace.
(4)Drive is not getting power. (4) Check for +5 & +12vdc at drive power connector. +12vdc MUST BE at least 12.00 Vdc under all conditions.

(6) Defective CPU board. (6) R/R CPU board.*

NO ANALOG I/O (1) No Linear Power
Supply output.
(1) Check for +15vdc and -15vdc at Linear Power Supply. If not present, check fuse.
(2) Loose audio cable to DADC board. (2) Verify that audio cable is connected to DADC board.
(3) Defective DADC (3) R/R DADC.*

NO RESPONSE
TO REMOTE
(RC-210/220)
(1) Remote/ DigiCart
software revisions don't match.
(1) Verify correct
RCseries/DigiCart firmware revision combo with 360

(1) Reseat DIN adapter to CPU receptacle.

(3) Defective CPU board. (3) R/R CPU board.*
(4) Defective keyboard. (4) R/R keyboard.

UNIT WON'T
RECORD
(1) Disk is full. (1) ERASE cuts to make room.
(2) Hard disk errors. (2) Set REC LIMIT to any value (except none) to work around fragmentation problem. Save material to Bernoulli or othermedia; reformat as soon as possible.
(3) Loose audio cable at DADC board. (3) Reseat audio cable.
(4) Defective DADC board. (4) R/R DADC board.*

BLINKING
CURSOR AT
POWER UP
(1) Defective/wrong CPU board ROMS. (1) Replace ROMS with known good ones from another unit or 360 Systems.*
  (2)Low Battery voltage on CPU Card (2)Replace Battery. If non is available, leave old battery out, wait 5 minutes and turn unit back on.
  (3) Defective CPU board. (3) R/R CPU board.*
  (4) Defective DADC board. (4) R/R DADC board.*

NO POWER
APPARENT
(1) No AC line voltage in. (1) Verify AC line voltage from outlet.
  (2) Fuse is blown. (2) Check fuse at DigiCart AC line input receptacle.
  (3) Defective Switching
Power Supply.
(3) Check voltages at Bernoulli drive power input jack (disconnect it from drive). R/R Switching Power Supply if no voltage is present (+5vdc &+12vdc).*
  (4)Defectivesub-assembly loading down power supply. (4) Disconnect one sub-assembly (CPU, DADC,etc.) at a time until voltage is present. R/R applicable sub-assembly.*

WON'T ACCEPT
DIGITAL AUDIO
(1) Digital channel status changes (1) Try starting SOURCE unit before pressing PLAY on recording unit. Putting
SOURCE unit in PAUSE mode (instead of STOP) also works.*
