Westlake Village, CA (May 10, 2007) 360 Systems’ recently introduced Image Server MAXX received industry recognition from Religious Product News (RPN) as an outstanding product and was featured in the publication’s annual Hot Product and Services issue.
In compiling its list of the year’s hottest products and services, the publication’s editorial staff reviews all the new product releases for the year and then chooses the most outstanding innovations for churches across a wide variety of product groups, including audio/video.
“The 360 Systems’ Image Server MAXX offers a new video solution at a price point that enables churches to more effectively communicate their message,” said RPN editor Jill Pinheiro. “We thought the MAXX offered excellent value for the price.”
Jordan Goodfellow, production manager for Acquire the Fire Media Ministries, says the Image Server is critical to his ability to run the 33 live events per year that the church offers for thousands of teens across North America. “Our two Image Servers make us very efficient and organized – they can easily play-out lots of video clips in sequence,” Goodfellow said. “We don’t have to run to find tapes. And we especially like the head and tail trim editing feature because it’s fast and easy.”
Chosen by nearly 40 churches and religious broadcasters, including the Christian Broadcasting Network and Trinity Broadcasting, the Image Server is becoming the server of choice for both large and small houses of worship.
The Image Server MAXX is a high-performance video server that offers an expanded set of advanced features most often requested by churches, broadcasters and cable networks. These include: fast FTP transfers to other servers, non-linear editors and network-attached storage; embedded audio; Remote Workstation software for operation from PCs; As-Run logs, Sony IMX® (D10) file compatibility, and improved operation with MXF files.
The MAXX server provides exceptional speed and a high level of compatibility with file-based workflows, but also maintains traditional video standards with baseband composite video and SDI ports. An input frame-synchronizer allows “wild” sources from tape or satellite to be recorded. New time-stamps create accurate As-Run logs for reconciliation of playlists. The server’s internal RAID array provides MAXX with up to 170 hours of storage.
MAXX Servers are suitable for satellite ingest, newsroom rundowns, extra digital broadcast channels, video wallpaper, and standard play-to-air applications.
First introduced in 2003, the Image Server product line is now the top-selling video server in its class. A selection of models offer feature sets matched to various applications, including television stations, cable networks, satellite uplinks, time-zone delay, and Pro A/V markets.
