  A Broadcast Original
Now, Short/Cut 2000 expands the art of editing with unprecedented speed, new editing features, and unprecedented ease of use in a compact, portable package. Short/Cut 2000 is powerful enough for serious production work, yet offers a learning curve so short that creative staff will completely master it in minutes. You'll get superior audio quality, intuitive cut-and-paste editing with a waveform display, hard disk storage, and file interchange with PCs, Macs, and popular workstations.
Whether you're replacing reel-to-reel machines, or building a state-of-the-art studio, Short/Cut 2000 delivers more speed and more features at a most attractive price.

Short/Cut 2000's precisely edits every kind of program material-broadcast content, music, sound effects, and audio for live shows. Editing features include Cut, Copy, Insert, Erase, Fade in, Fade out, Cross-fade, Level change, and many single-track operations.
Best of all, Short/Cut 2000 is fast. New file conversion utilities also let Short/Cut 2000 interface with most DAWs. It can read and write WAV, BWF, SD-2 and AIFF file formats from both PCs and Macs.

Intuitive Operation for Creative People

Short/Cut 2000's operating controls combine the best features of tape machines and popular word processors. The result is an intuitive audio recorder/editor that helps anyone work quickly, with almost no training.

Short/Cut's dedicated buttons make the difference. Its hands-on approach to editing is extremely fast and accurate, and easier to use than computer based systems. A weighted jog wheel provides an outstanding simulation of tape reel "scrub" editing, while a large waveform display assists with critical editing decisions. One-handed editing is easy, with unique edit function keys.

Short/Cut 2000 is more than just an editor. With its large storage of stereo audio it keeps important clips on-line and ready to play. And locating a single cut among 1,000 is easy. Just scroll through directories with the wheel, or simply type a name on the built-in keyboard for instant access. To help organize recordings, Short/Cut provides ten directories, each with password protection, so several users can share a single machine.

Instant Replay® Hot-Keys
Fast access to edited clips is a key part of the Short/Cut Editor's broadcast-friendly design. Its Hot-Keys can immediately play up to ten stored audio segments-perfect for on-air playback of news, phone calls, or in live productions. The Hot Keys also make convenient clipboard memories when editing.

360 Systems' Short/Cut Editor is all about ease-of-use and speed. More broadcasters have chosen 360 Systems' Short/Cut than any other desktop editor.
